This chemical is a non-toxic, non-corrosive, reddish viscous liquid,  has good compatibility with weak polar or non polar material, which is commonly used in weak polar or non-polar polymers such as plastics of PE, PP, EVA, ABS, PET etc and resins of alkyd, polyester, PU etc. to improve the mechanical and physical properties of the composites or film. It can dissolve in most of organic solvents such as isopropanol, xylene, toluene, DOP, mineral spirit. It hydrolyses in water or moisture environment.

Minerals, such as Calcium Carbonate and talc, treated with this chemical gives good compatibility with organic polymers, improve the minerals filled composites mechanical and physical properties. Treated minerals give lower viscosity, which enhances the processability during compounding or blending and helps to achieve high filler content which gives better heat stability and flame retarded properties of the composites. Treated pigments, minerals / metal oxides can be dispersed well in binder system and improves quality of dry film properties such as corrosion and abrasive resistance e.g. treated magnetic iron oxide system can be coated well on substrates and gives good quality of magnetic recording material / articles.
